Flaming zombies are also more dangerous as they run faster and deal more damage to the player if they get too close. Standing (well, ambling) in your way is a never-ending horde of the rotting, stinking, and stupid undead. The goals are simple: keep Bruce alive, as he tries to keep Daisy alive, and get the highest score possible. In order to score high, the player has to set zombies on fire and each zombie on fire adds to their score multiplier. Welcome to the char-grilled world of Burn Zombie Burn, where the best type of undead is barbecued undead. The core mechanic, as described in the game’s title, is about setting zombies on fire. The objective of the game is kill as many zombies as possible before he dies, while reaching certain score thresholds that unlock more of the game.įundamentally, the game is an infinite play, score-chasing, arena-based, shooter. In Burn Zombie Burn! the player controls a character called Bruce, against a never ending horde of various zombies. There are six levels with varying environments, including a graveyard, military base, and woods. ![]() Zombies may get stronger and larger as the game progresses, as well as the weapons available for use. The player controls the main character, Bruce, against a horde of zombies that never ends. Always remember to turn off/extinguish a heat source once you are done using it.Burn Zombie Burn! is a top-down shooter released on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 on Mafollowed by a Windows version in 2010 and a Mac OS X version in 2011. Even with these tools it is recommended to choose a campfire location away from anything that may spread a fire, in case a routine cookout goes out of control. To fight a small fire, a container of water can be used, while an extinguisher should be used to combat larger fires. Fires can also be put out using the right mouse button and clicking extinguish. In the event the player catches on fire, running (preferably out in the rain) will eventually extinguish the player. Once the fire has nothing to spread across for a few dozen in-game minutes, the fire will eventually die out. The fire can spread on survivors, zombies, and structures, which in turn look for even more things to spread across. Once the fire is set, it is very likely that the fire will start spreading and will do so if there is something to spread on. If players are able to avoid detection, the zombies should huddle up around each other as they burn, whilst occasionally attracting more to their mass, leading to a shambling clump of burning undead - and, ultimately, a pile of charred remains. More importantly as it creates a lot of light and sound, fire will attract zombies as such it can be used to create a (potentially expensive) distraction by igniting a building, or by setting fire to a group of zombies themselves. ![]() Generally, zombies take slightly longer to kill with fire than a survivor but are not immune to it. The presence of rain or fog may also influence ongoing fires. If the fire touches a wall or any other flammable structure, the structure may eventually burn down depending upon its composition a brick, stone, or metal wall may catch fire and be damaged but go out on its own, whilst a wooden building is far more likely to be burned to ashes. The fire will burn down structures and will burn zombies/survivors to death. Fire will attract zombies to the location of the flames. The scorching flames spread as they engulf zombies eating the dying character.įires can be started either by using an incendiary weapon such as a molotov cocktail, or by leaving a heat source on for too long. ![]() Re-added in 0.2.0r RC2.9, fire is in once again.
